Shabbat

Our Shabbat evening services are held at 7:30 pm on the first of the month and at 8:00 pm on all other Friday evenings. In addition to our Shabbat morning worship, we also meet for a more informal Torah study and worship experience at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday morning.

Remember the Sabbath…

Shabbat is our time to worship, to study and to gather. Each Friday evening we join together as a K’hillah Kedosha – A Holy Congregation as we sing the songs of our people and hear words of Torah from our Rabbi. Together as a community we welcome the peace of Shabbat after our work week has ended. On the first Shabbat of the month we share special Birthday Blessings for those in our midst who are celebrating birthdays during the month, and on the last Shabbat all married couples who are celebrating anniversaries during that month are invite to be blessed by our clergy in front of the Aron HaKodesh – the holy ark. On each Friday evening we join together for our Oneg Shabbat in our social hall where we gather with friends, family and our leadership to celebrate the joy of this sacred day.

Please check our calendar for a complete listing of dates, times and special events.

Shabbat morning our B’nei Mitzvah students lead us in worship as they celebrate this traditional rite of passage. Our clergy assists the students in preparing and leading our service so that they may share their own words of Torah and read and chant from our liturgy and our holy scripture.
